many people of my age are not interested in politics. their reasoning? politics are dirty, boring, none of my business, blah blah blah.
am i weird or what? i found politics extremely interesting. especially in HK nowadays. you can see and read about a political storm almost every other month. following these incidents are more fun then following tvb series. the drama inside each of them is even better than the movie infernal affairs(無間道).
so people, please stop being ignorant. vote on every election and pay more attention to what's going on out there. yes, politics are dirty and sometimes boring, but they can definitely affect our daily lives.
the most recent storm in HK - the discharge of cheng-tai-pan:

Hi leng lui, finally get to read your blog. very cool and up-to-date.
well, here's my two cents, politics is much alike drugs, when one gets caught-up in politics, he/she would engage on this daily on-going ritual and every bit of excitement the drug involves, can make the person go literally wild, uptight and opinionated. (BAD!) Nonetheless there's also a whole lotta thrill and suspense involved. Very mind-boggling too! (FUN FUN FUN!)
I'm that drug user, but I'm on a different kinda drug than yours. Mine is Made in USA.
No big deal if people doesn't give a shit to politics, I mean, it's their freedom of choice. They might just missed out on something which in my definition, is exciting. But guess what, I sure am missing out on other things that some people would considered as fun. Whether or not I would wanna get my ass involved, is up to how I feel.
Anyway, you should join Xanga. It's another blog community, but this one you can add your own friends on your list, so you can read everybody's blog in a touch of a click! Yay!!!!

Hey Ann..here is my first comment for you: nice site you have here! Your pieces are easy to read, and quite entertaining, especially your mini craft piece! Haha..must show me your mini with you and ah chu's head in it!
Back to your article, just like you I'm more into the politic scenes in HK. I don't know why though since I don't like HK that much, maybe it's because HK politics are not as complex as the States and more interesting than the boring Canada politicians! Sometimes you just find it so unbelievable that those "Higher-Up" guys can act so stupid, although they are not as insane as those in Taiwan! Personally I'm more into the social and community affairs rather than those hard-core politic stuff...that's why I love to watch those shows made by RTHK, but the sad part is that I don't have time to watch any of those shows anymore..so I can only rely on the newspaper now!
OH..I have Xanga too..haha...but I have never updated it..so I won't even bother giving you guys my account!
